　　 《環境科學與工程專業英語》是根據《大學英語教學大綱》（理工科本科用）專業閱讀部分的要求編寫的，是高等學校環境科學、環境工程或相關專業的教材，也可供同等英語程度環境科學工作者及環境工程師或相關領域的科技人員使用。

內容簡介

　　 《環境科學與工程專業英語》共分為八個部分（PART）。每個部分含若乾個單元（Unit），共42個單元。每個單元由一篇課文和一篇閱讀材料組成，共計84篇。課文和閱讀材料均選自原版英文教科書、科技報告、著作、專業期刊、國際會議論文集等。其中第一部分1～4，介紹環境科學與工程概述和曆史；第二部分5～11，介紹大氣化學和空氣汙染及其防治；第三部分12～19，介紹水汙染來源種類、水化學、各種汙水處理技術、處理單元設備等；第四部分20～23，為固體廢物及處理方法；第五部分24～27，介紹其他汙染及控製技術；第六部分28～35，為環境管理，包括介紹環境影響及其評價、環境監控和分析及采樣程序、環境政策與策略；第七部分36～38，生態係統與生態群落，介紹環境生物與生態圈，環境生態學，生態與生命係統等；第八部分39～42，作為拓展，介紹綠色化學與技術，清潔生産，環境與可持續發展、清潔生産工藝及其綠色化學過程。每篇課文均配有與課文相對應的練習，主要以主觀練習題為主，包括閱讀與詞匯練習，英譯漢與漢譯英，用英語迴答問題及寫齣課文或某一段落的summary等。為便於學生自學，本書每課配有單詞和詞組錶，並對課文的難點做必要的注釋，全書最後附有總詞匯錶。
