Abandoned by her husband, Amanda Wingfield comforts herself with recollections of her earlier, more gracious life in Blue Mountain when she was pursued by 'gentleman callers'. Her son Tom, a poet with a job in a warehouse, longs for adventure and escape from his mother's suffocating embrace, while Laura, her shy crippled daughter, has her glass menagerie and her memories. Amanda is desperate to find her daughter a husband, but when the long-awaited gentleman caller does arrive, Laura's romantic illusions are crushed.

##I didn't go to the moon, I went much further--for time is the longest distance between two places. /The scene is memory and is therefore nonrealistic. Memory takes a lot of poetic license. It omits some details; others are exaggerated, according to the emotional value of the articles it touches, for memory is seated predominantly in the heart.
評分##Tom的人物塑造還是比較單薄，可能他還不太想剖析自己吧；田納西威廉姆斯的早年生活，齣場角色隻有四個，還不太成熟但很特彆，看得齣他對妹妹的憐愛。

評分這三天斷斷續續把這本看完。大師，您的人生確實是辛酸。讀戲劇是從王爾德開始的，後來發現瞭田納西。田老有蠻多部戲劇的，我目前買瞭2部。這本玻璃動物園是由通過作者在St. Louis時候的日子的生活改編成的戲劇。雖說整個篇幅沒有任何一個細節然我有想落淚的衝動，但是田納西曾經說過:"The saddest play I ever written. It's full of pain. It's painful for me to see it."劇中人物都在逃避著各自麵對著他們的殘酷的現實，隻是逃避，沒有對之做法抗。所以為什麼田納西會說這樣的話可想而知。

評分##簡單的故事 有張力的對手戲 對演員來說演起來應該是很爽的吧... 特彆想看大佬說對白 看的時候腦子裏都是他的聲音...其實Laura在現在應該太多太常見瞭吧! 不過麻麻叫Amanda, 基友叫Jim的設定真的好麼 腦洞就是這麼被打開的!
