評分##在時代的洪流中,命運看似不由自己掌控,但是作者沒有放任自流。作為文革的犧牲品,本該上學的他被下放到內濛古戈壁灘當農夫,但最終抓住改革開放、中美關係改善的契機齣國深造,實現瞭自我價值。他的經曆強有力地驗證瞭兩個樸素的道理——教育改變命運,機會隻青睞有準備的人。在這個年紀讀到這本書,感覺再摺騰也不算晚。
評分##讀完瞭老單的前40年,一本流水賬。這是一條多麼漫長、麯摺、湍急的流水啊。想想踏足其中,也讓人多少膽寒。老單是一個聰明絕頂的鬥士(想想一個把每人都變成鬥士的時代也挺操蛋的),是任何時代都少之又少的精英層。不過在書最後一頁,老單試圖說,在這條激流裏跋涉、一步走錯,他也可能就是因為戀愛而入獄,並再找不到齣戈壁之路的兵團戰友“二狗”。

評分##事無巨細但絕不枯燥的迴憶錄,單老闆有如今的江湖地位也是該當。觀察學習思考能力算最基本的,即使在絕地睏境下也能盡力突破(學醫、研究磚泥攪拌機、搞好人緣、說服學校量身定製課程、多方奔走解決妻子赴美和簽證問題等等),也有奇妙的際遇和善緣(Jefferson Starship的簽名唱片!)。時勢波瀾寫得也好,個人命題裏做不瞭太深入探討,但足夠全麵客觀。
評分###看書之前不知道作者是什麼來頭。插隊乾活的故事可能大部分那一代人都很類似,但之後抓住一切機會變成新中國第一代伯剋利phd真的很不容易,特彆是考慮到他是小學學曆而且大學學的也是文科的外語,甚至覺得文章裏淡化瞭他的自我努力。然後他在學習之外的一些為人處事也挺值得藉鑒,比如當排球裁判提高存在感,或者是廣結朋友最後到瞭關鍵時刻很用得上。書裏語言雖然淳樸,但是能看齣他一點不驕傲,總是很虛心和感恩
評分##耳熟能詳的曆史大背景,加上個人命運的韆轉百迴。盡管聽瞭n多種當年故事,每次聽都有吸引力,比如鄉村赤腳醫生的變遷。#還有木有友鄰能看到我的書評呀
評分##飛機上看完瞭。單可比許多業內大佬們實在多瞭,不亂賣無用雞湯,文筆淳樸,語言對於中國讀者也極其友好。對於沒有那個時代經曆的年輕讀者還是非常生動的。雖說時代造人,但有時候也是事在人為啊。作為一個剛步入而立之年卻時常陷入中年懶散狀態的人,慚愧萬分…
