"I became an author-illustrator when I was nineteen years old. I flew from my home in Racine, Wisconsin, to New York City with my portfolio, hoping to find a publisher. 喜欢这本书可能也还是因为自己也是做销售的原因吧,故事很吸引人,通过一些销售的故事讲述了很多销售道理,却又用爱情的线索折射了销售的哲理,更多的还是体现了很多生活和人生的态度与哲理.这个还是表象更重要的是要我解开了很多身边迷茫的疑惑,心中有了答案,似乎很多东西可以理解了也就豁然开朗了.

也算是文化的机缘吧，2012年底我才把《我的黑白人生》整理完毕，2013金蛇之年的新春，三联书店总编李昕先生便冒着寒风带着一位编辑亲临书斋取稿。此举让笔者感触良深。我之所以有如是的感悟，实因文化中商业因子不断膨胀之故，有些文学书籍的出版单位，便以“金钱”二字当成出版的终极目标；而我笔下的文字，是“以真为镜以史为魂”的沧桑文字，三联总编亲来登门索稿，让我在蛇年伊始，似又看到了出版界的一线曙光。因而我特意给三联来取稿的伯乐，沏了一壶浓香的铁观音，在边饮浓茶边畅谈出版界当前百态时，李昕先生道出了三联的出版标准：“只要是号准中国历史脉门之作，无论是喜歌还是悲歌，都对实现中华民族的伟大复兴的强国之梦有利，因而只要是书写历史真实之作，都在我们三联的出版视野之内。
