评分##准备aw的时候觉得这本书很多地方分析的非常缜密，尤其是关于unintended consequences那一部分。关于改革开放和三年自然灾害的分析也挺值得一看的
评分##可是更多的時候覺得他在迴避問題，例如提到自由是目標也是手段，提到自由是衡量發展的標準，可就是沒有正面回答當只能二選一的時候也怎麼辦，而且也沒有在宏觀層面的自由與微觀層面的自由做出明顯區分......可在講到 how much money can take us to immortality 的時候真覺得被戳中了....

评分##自由既是发展的目的，又是发展的手段——Sen想要着力打破的是“自由是否能够促进发展”的因果讨论，从而将对“发展”的讨论焦点和评价尺度从“产出与绩效”转变为“freedom和capabilities的提升”。很明显Sen的言说对象是各类政策制定者，他指出民主、市场、教育医疗等一系列的机制安排都同时是提升人们freedom和capabilities的目的和手段，不可偏废整体中的任何一个，力图统合诸般原则和价值——在这一点上，他做的很成功，也开启了有意义的视角。 然而，这本书非常缺乏现实感，从不考虑在资源稀缺的情况下这种统合性的价值如何同时实现；经验材料和机制分析也比较粗疏，很多地方并不能对他的论点构成严谨的支撑。
