内容简介

A wonderful story about the meaning of loneliness and the importance of friendship. There once was a boy! and one day a penguin arrives on his doorstep. The boy decides the penguin must be lost and tries to return him. But no one seems to be missing a penguin. So the boy decides to take the penguin home himself, and they set out in his row boat on a journey to the South Pole. But when they get there, the boy discovers that maybe home wasn't what the penguin was looking for after all!

作者简介

Oliver is a fresh new talent in picture books. He graduated from The University of Ulster in 2001 with First Class honours and has since exhibited his paintings around the world. He works as a freelance illustrator and this is his second picture book project.

虽然是有点贵，但实在是很喜欢这个风格，用平淡略带忧郁的口吻讲述这个温暖的故事。这本图书的内容其实更适合成人，对孩子来说它没什么寓意，却能引发成人的许多思考

家里有男孩子一枚，马上快6岁了，大慨一年多以前开始了英语的启蒙，主要是听原版儿歌，看原汁原味的分级读物和绘本，到目前为止，非常喜欢英文，喜欢听喜欢看。小孩子学英语主要就是兴趣，再有就是家长的坚持，不能求快，只能一味灌输，总有一天会有收获的。
