In the summer of 2010, photographer Brandon Stanton began an ambitious project -to single-handedly create a photographic census of New York City. The photos he took and the accompanying interviews became the blog Humans of New York. His audience steadily grew from a few hundred followers to, at present count, over twelve million. In 2013, his book Humans of New York, based on that blog, was published and immediately catapulted to the top of the NY Times Bestseller List where it has appeared for over forty-five weeks. 评分##去年朋友送的，他眼光真不错。拍的是纽约，其实是美国人的写照。真是幸福人人一样，心酸各有不同。和《西部招妻》里那么一下子揭掉盖布展现贫穷不幸那样直接有力的方式不同，这本书就像雕刻一样，一人一人的故事积累起来呈现出这个世态。另外，这书也反映了美国现在的毒品问题无药可治的现状。
