這個事件的關鍵詞有：施特勞斯、波普爾。很顯然，前一個關鍵詞有激素的作用，很容易刺激人們的腎上腺素，讓人們心跳加速、血液沸騰。而後一個關鍵詞多少有點讓我不好意思說齣口。在現在的學術氛圍裏，讀波普爾好像總有那麼一點“品位低下”的感覺。彆人問我在讀什麼書，我隻敢含糊地說一句《開放社會及其敵人》，而不敢在後麵加上作者。就好比說自己在讀《哲學史》而不敢說作者的那一定是讀羅素，讀黑格爾的一定會用充滿胸腔的充沛真氣吼齣來。

The stories in this edition were very helpful in showing the backstories of several cats. I started out feeling bad for Mapleshade and thought "well now understand why she became so bitter" but when she also turned to murder I quickly lost that empathy.
