評分##算是初級版的Girl on the train(或者說, elderly lady on the train...)，盡管鄉村老宅的生活情景是個亮點，案件也算新奇，但推理並不嚴密，而且結論也無法讓人滿意。一個小彩蛋是對英倫第一女管傢的一段描述，比如：病榻上的馬普爾小姐，看到女管傢用正確的方式打理馬普爾小姐花園裏的甜豆，立刻放下心來，肺病也好瞭大半...簡直像發生在我自己身上一樣真實。

評分##2006.11.3/2009.10.14 讀完 The abridged version doesn't do its justice. what I found most annoying is the know-it-all Miss Marple. 沒有比Miss marple更神的人瞭，她總是知道什麼地方有綫索，什麼人在想什麼。anyway, 看Miss Marple齣現的案件，是對我耐心最大的考驗。不過，這個案子開始非常有趣，擦肩而過的火車，老太太看到另外一輛火車上有人殺人，可是第二天也沒有等到警方報導，連屍體都沒有發現，到底怎麼一迴事？然而，看到後麵會很失望，莫名其妙就結束瞭。
