內容簡介

　　《功能語法導論(第3版)》是M.A.K.Halliday介紹功能語法理論的經典學術著作，自1985年一版齣版以來，就成為國內外許多大學講授功能語法的基本教科書。《功能語法導論》是M.A.K.Haliday與Christian Matthiessen對第二版進行廣泛修訂後推齣的第三版，與上一版相比，第三版的更新主要體現在：
　　1.增加瞭係統網絡的內容。語言是係統的係統。作為功能語法的主要支柱，係統語法的內容在第3版獲得凸現。
　　2.從小句描寫走嚮語篇分析。係統功能語法不同於以句子為描寫對象的形式語法或轉換生成語法，它把語篇作為分析目標。
　　3.基於語料庫的論述。韓禮德對語料庫的研究外感興趣，也一直試圖把這個領域的內容用到他的語言研究中。
　　4.理論的修訂與擴展。第3版在章節安排上進行瞭調整，加減少瞭句子成分的內容，為係統網絡和語篇的描寫和分析提供瞭空間。

作者簡介

　　韓禮德（M.A.K.Halliday），當代種種語言學理論分屬兩大思潮，一是以人類學為基本的語言學傳統，一是以哲學為基本的語言學傳統。在前者中影響較大的應數係統功能語言學派，其倡導者為本書作者韓禮德。
　　韓禮德1925年齣生於英格蘭約剋郡利茲。他在倫敦大學主修中國語言文學後，1947-1949年來華深造，在北京大學羅常培先生指導下研究漢語曆史語言學，1949-1950年後專攻現代漢語，導師為廣州嶺南大學的王力先生。韓迴到英國後在劍橋大學的弗斯（Firth）教授等著名語言學傢的指導下，對我國14世紀用北方官話譯述的（《元朝秘史》作語言學分析，1955年獲得博士學位。
　　韓禮德的教學生涯始於劍橋大學和愛丁堡大學，後任倫敦大學學院交際研究中心主任，1965-1970年任倫敦大學語言學教授。自20世紀70年代起，韓禮德在世界各地講學，如曾任美國耶魯大學和布朗大學以及肯尼亞內羅畢大學的客座教授，美國加利福尼亞斯坦福行為科學高級研究中心研究員，美國伊利諾伊州立大學語言學教授。1976年移居澳大利亞籌建悉尼大學語言學係，擔任係主任工作。1987年後為悉尼大學榮休教授，並在新加坡、日本、英國等地從事教學和科研工作。1995年被聘為北京大學客座教授。
