張連生，1954年生於江蘇省丹陽市。南京藝術學院設計學院教授，碩士生導師。從事色彩基礎及裝飾藝術教學與研究，參與教學的“設計基礎”課程被評為江蘇省一類精品課程，齣版教材《裝飾色彩課題研究》、《設計色彩》、《色彩》（閤編）等6部。從事裝飾藝術、色彩基礎研究。發錶論文《色彩觀念對繪畫的影響》、《色彩的力量》、《岩畫色彩的魅力》等10餘篇。齣版編著《中國工藝美術精品解讀》、《裝飾藝術精品集》、《漆藝基礎技法》、個人畫集《張連生水粉畫畫集》等多部。從事裝飾藝術與公共藝術創作，作品漆畫《花》、漆畫《皖南印象》、水粉畫《都市新樂章》等多件作品入選第7、第9屆全國美展，第2、3屆全國體育美術展覽，全國第1、2、3屆水彩粉畫展等多項重要展覽。作品《狀元及第圖》（閤作）獲第9屆全國美展優秀作品奬。作品百餘幅發錶於《美術》、《裝飾》、《新華日報》等多傢重要報刊。作品《金龍迎賓》、《狀元及第圖》、《鑄銅宮燈》等為南京金陵飯店、狀元樓酒店、寜波會展中

書中的很多對於産業介紹和機械製圖方麵的知識很完整，很係統。但是某些部分關於計算機配置的部分稍微落後。同時，部分機械草圖有些小錯誤。但是，基本上對於想挑戰自己的機械製圖的工程師們來說，是很好的sample.
