In the ashes of a dying world, Red finds a letter marked “Burn before reading. Signed, Blue.”
So begins an unlikely correspondence between two rival agents in a war that stretches through the vast reaches of time and space.
Red belongs to the Agency, a post-singularity technotopia. Blue belongs to Garden, a single vast consciousness embedded in all organic matter. Their pasts are bloody and their futures mutually exclusive. They have nothing in common—save that they’re the best, and they’re alone.
Now what began as a battlefield boast grows into a dangerous game, one both Red and Blue are determined to win. Because winning’s what you do in war. Isn’t it?

评分##我本来都已经打算开始啃英文了，结果居然被我找到了翻译版。这本书太浪漫了，这种形式的科幻小说真的是第一次见，很不错。

评分##It's not bad. 我很少看到这种风格的英文出版物，以至于我觉得我点进了一篇AO3的同人文——这简直是完美的肖根代餐。
评分##把三流科幻故事写成爱情小说就能得到质的提升，也不怪我注意力全被Blue信件出现的方式和二位的情话抓住。真的很好奇这个故事的荧幕化呈现，在我整个阅读过程中她们都没有想象的实体，我好恨。这句“That's all I want now. A small place, a dog, green grass. To touch your hand.”简直my girl内心独白投射。不过我们无需像firefighter和fire starter那样捕食对方。my blue说不需要拜伦式的爱情。
评分##读一半就能猜出剧情 书信里描述的半吊子世界观让人没头没脑；虽然书信感人 但不是都因为爱情愿意为对方牺牲自己了吗 女主之一又有了老公什么鬼。。。很失望
评分##如果影视化，会有很多发挥空间，别拍成电视剧，两小时的影片足矣。你有千种形态，你是万物，你是这时间长河中我在意的一切。有被这样的浪漫触动，但我终究还是没那么喜欢这种纯粹的浪漫故事。
