評分##Caught a glimpse of China’s mounting debt problems, though the issues have been discussed by Chinese economists for years. 中國的債務問題不容小覷，常用的宏觀政策依然在復製大放水刺激的老路。去産能過剩、減少放貸可能會導緻經濟放緩，而經濟增長變慢，資産變得不值錢，有可能嚮多米諾骨牌一樣使得債務還不上。在進軍中高等收入國傢之前，債務問題若是解決不瞭，可能會變成窮苦的拉美。
評分##寫作方式和甲骨文、長樂路驚人的相似，書中提到的很多事件（泛亞、三鹿）中國人都耳熟能詳。作者的身份是記者而不是經濟學傢，因此很多核心問題的論述並沒有得到充分的數據作為支撐，總體上更偏嚮於嚮外國人的科普。
評分##The book concerns about problems in China's economy. Ironically,the more I read it,the stronger impression left to me. There must be something wrong with me.
評分##旁觀者視角挺不錯，政經係於一體，不可分離。忽然發現著者係紐約時報，料想到之前何偉「中國三部麯」，海外媒體對中國觀察有令人醍醐灌頂之感。校訂方麵有點瑕疵，「山東位於上海之南」，怔住瞭，總體瑕不掩瑜。
