作者简介

Randall Munroe begann seine Karriere als Physiker im Langley Research Center der NASA, wo er Roboter baute und entwickelte. 2006 verlie? er die NASA, um ausschlie?lich Webcomics und Infographiken zu schreiben und zu zeichnen. Er ist ein wandelndes Lexikon der Naturkatastrophen, hat ein Kugelbad im Wohnzimmer, l?sst Drachen steigen, um Luftaufnahmen zu machen, und schafft den Zauberwürfel in einer guten Minute. 书中这些有别于传统教科书的知识虽然并不系统，但对于充满想象力的孩子们来说，却是他们最感兴趣的科学解答。尽管作者和出版单位都一再强调不会对问题的结果负责，因为兰道尔 门罗本身就是一个和孩子们一样充满想象、热爱思考、喜欢挑战的大男孩。他喜欢着火和爆炸，却不安于枯燥的知识堆砌。他喜欢尝试和探索，却不满足于刻板教条的死记硬背。正因为这样，他所做出的问题解答是从任何教科书上都无法学到的趣味疯狂科学。
