As Amelia Bedelia’s mother leaves to go shopping, she observes that it is a “gray day,” and she is in a bad mood. Amelia Bedelia decides to surprise her mom by using multicolored sidewalk chalk to brighten her day. She has to hurry, so she enlists her friends to help do chalk drawings on her sidewalk, front walk, driveway, fence, and even on the trees and sides of their house, including: --Pictures of daisies on the side of the house where her mother’s plants will grow and bloom --A map of “Momville” in the driveway, showing her favorite stores and places in town --Dance-step footprints because her mom loves to dance

作者簡介

Herman Parish is the nephew of Amelia Bedelia's creator, Peggy Parish, and the author of many books about Amelia Bedelia. He lives in Princeton, New Jersey.

Lynne Avril is the illustrator of more than fifty books for children, including a picture book series about Amelia Bedelia's childhood adventures. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
