作者簡介

為捍衛巢址和周圍的小區域而打鬥，巢址一般選擇在食物豐富的水域邊，在沼澤邊的樹木上可以俯瞰沼澤植被。巢雖然相當大，但結構鬆散，比較脆弱，往往會被破壞導緻損失，建巢一般選在雨季開始的80天前，産卵季節為2月至6月，這些鳥會按季節來控製孵化期處於閤適的濕度和溫度條件。雖然蝸鳶經常返迴同一個地方的舊巢，但每年也幾乎嘗試總是會建立一個新的巢。建巢時間要花費4至18天不等的工作量，都是由雄性為主，雌鳥輔之。
