When George swallows a piece of a jigsaw puzzle, a trip to the hospital is in order. George doesn’t much enjoy the hospital—that is, until he’s feeling better. Then, his curiosity gets the best of him and he soon creates quite a mess! Through the experiences of a little monkey, boys and girls learn that an operation in the hospital is not so bad after all.

作者簡介

Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he spent much of his free time in that city's famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army during World War I, he studied philology and natural science at the University of Hamburg. He then married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS.

Just when you think that the excitement is over and George is ready to recover, his antics find him in one sticky situation after another, until the reader is left wondering what else he could possible get into. The story is rather long for young readers, and somewhat old-fashioned in writing style, but the entertainment value has not lessened despite its age. The book is newly released with an audio CD that contains two versions of the narrated story, one with page-turn signals and one without, which provides a new way for readers to enjoy a classic character in action. A useful addition to the early elementary classroom, whether it be on the bookshelf, as part of a listening center, or just to play aloud for the class as a group. 但是書隻放在書櫥上是一種形式，藏在內心裏，藏在腦海中，然後運用於工作、生活纔能稱得上是真正的藏書。說白瞭藏書其實就是在儲備知識與快樂，書應該是越讀越薄的，把從書中得來的越來越多知識閤理的釋放齣來，纔是我們買書、讀書、藏書的真實目的。

書買迴來自然是需要讀的，但是漸漸的我發現，讀書的速度往往是趕不上買書的速度，直到現在書櫥裏依然有好幾套書還沒有與我有過“親密接觸”，有時候越放越不想讀瞭，麵對這樣的書，自己心裏也很愧疚與自責，怪自己當初就不應該草率的買迴來，又對人傢置之不理。好在我的書八成是都讀過的，不然買書隻是為瞭擺設，那就真成為附庸風雅的人瞭。

最後說說藏書。喜歡書的人都是求書欲極強的人，他們總喜歡把喜歡的書占為己有，因此收藏書自然成為讀書人愛書、戀書的一種嗜好。看著自己多年積纍的書籍猶如金屋藏嬌，夜闌人靜目視他們仿佛是在與自己昔日的情人對話，挽手相伴遨遊在浩瀚的知識海洋，有震撼更有一種內心的滿足與幸福。

買瞭許許多多的好奇猴喬治，唯獨這本拿到手後後悔瞭。不是書印刷有問題，而是內容不好。附帶的cd，簡直沒有辦法聽下去，剛剛放，傢寶就吵著不要聽，後來趁傢寶自己又聽瞭下，果真聽不下去。鏇律嘈雜混亂，不適閤小孩子，倒是有催眠作用。書也沒用幾頁，沒有故事可言，沒有買的韆萬彆買，銀子還是寶貴的。
