　　視覺與觸覺聯閤測試
　　綜上所述，這兩類測試不僅支持瞭上述發現，還得齣瞭額外的、有趣的結果。如果隻嚮被試大腦的右半球呈現某一物體的圖片，那他們既不能說齣物品的名字，也不能描述它。事實上，患者也許根本沒有言語的反應，或否認有任何東西齣現。但是如果允許患者伸齣左手（仍然隻用右半球）到屏幕下觸摸物品，他們總能找到與視覺呈現相同的物品。
　　測試發現，右半球也能很好地思考和分析物體。加紮尼加曾報告說，在展示某一物品的圖片（比如香煙）給被試的右半球時，允許被試在屏幕後觸摸10種物品，但裏麵卻沒有香煙，並讓其選擇最接近圖片的一件物品——在本研究中是一個煙灰缸。加紮尼加繼而解釋道：
　　“然而，太奇怪瞭！即使在他們正確反應之後，並在他們左手握著煙灰缸時，他們也不能說齣或描述實物煙灰缸以及圖片上的香煙。顯然，在知覺和知識方麵，左半球和右半球完全分開瞭。”
