They will discover simple ways to search for information in a computer; methods for rearranging information in a computer into a prescribed order (“sorting”); how to solve basic problems that can be modeled in a computer with a mathematical structure called a “graph” (useful for modeling road networks, dependencies among tasks, and financial relationships); how to solve problems that ask questions about strings of characters such as DNA structures; the basic principles behind cryptography; fundamentals of data compression; and even that there are some problems that no one has figured out how to solve on a computer in a reasonable amount of time.

评分CLRS作者之一的Cormen的新作，比CLRS浅且内容少很多。论述的顺序与风格充满了作者的个人趣味。按作者的本意来说，Algorithm Unlocked只是一盘开胃菜，可以作为学习CLRS的辅助阅读。我看确实如此！然而对大部分的人而言这真是很大一盘餐前小点，你很容易就找出很多很多理由拒绝进行这样的学习.....如果你真的下决心去吃它，还不如立即开始CLRS。如果你不下决心学算法，试图浅尝则止，收获也不会很多，那还不如不看。

评分##定位偏科普，内容已经比较 technical 了，但限于篇幅无法展开。

评分##回忆一些简单的数据结构和算法，讲的比较清楚。后面有一些没看懂
评分##贴近生活。讲到graph时，发现还是grokking 讲得更简洁易懂。接着往下看，越发觉得grokking 的妙 unlocked 的迷糊。空间直觉是思维本质，逻辑描述是不得已而为之。甭管作者名气多大， 把逻辑描述当作本质，就太。。。。后面一大半没兴趣了， 一堆乱糟糟的符号
评分##如果没勇气读1300多页的《算法导论》，可以先从这本200多页的书入手，作者Cormen是《导论》合著者之一，Khan Academy上的算法课程就是以这本书为框架设计的，有基于JS的在线编程交互练习，可以与本书配合使用。（读完这本发现还是得回去啃导论才过瘾。。。）
