除了写的时间比较久远外（上个世纪80年代），整本小说体现了Stephen King的严谨风格，最重要的是他语言的多彩化，对于学习外语和了解美国人的生活有很大的帮助，只是他一贯的恐怖风格还是阻止了很多人去购买的书。还有一点就是因为是上实际的书，好多高科技的东西都没有描写，甚是遗憾
