作者简介

弗拉基米尔·纳博科夫（俄：Владимир Владимирович Набоков;英：Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov）（1899年4月23日 -- 1977年7月2日）是一名俄裔美籍作家，1899年出生于俄罗斯圣彼得堡。他在美国创作了他的文学作品《洛丽塔》，但真正使他成为一个散文家的是他用英语写出的作品。他同样也在昆虫学、象棋等领域有所贡献。

One of the twentieth century s master prose stylists, Vladimir Nabokov was born in St. Petersburg in 1899. 

He studied French and Russian literature at Trinity College, Cambridge, then lived in Berlin and Paris, where he launched a brilliant literary career. 

In 1940 he moved to the United States, and achieved renown as a novelist, poet, critic and translator. 

He taught literature at Wellesley, Stanford, Cornell, and Harvard. In 1961 he moved to Montreux, Switzerland, where he died in 1977.
